Apply 793 Work Schedule: Full Time Salary: $52,668 - $96,750 Location: Washington, DC metropolitan area The Directorate of Operations (DO) is a cadre of action- and results-oriented professionals who accept significant, demanding responsibilities and accountability for results. Minimum requirements for a DO position include: US citizenship at the time of application (dual national US citizens are eligible) Personal integrity A four year college/university degree from an accredited institution (applicants within one year of earning a four year degree will be considered) Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently Flexibility, adaptability, and commitment to the mission of the CIA and DO DO Language Officers receive specialized training to acquire an understanding of clandestine operations tradecraft and to maintain and/or advance their foreign language skills. Classroom training, practical exercises, and on-the-job experience is all part of the training process. Language Officer (LO) DO Language Officers perform a critical and dynamic function within the DO – contributing advanced foreign language skills combined with cultural experience and expertise to producing high-quality, accurate, and timely translations, interpretations, and other language-related support to DO clandestine operations. LOs are key to the success of many foreign intelligence, counterintelligence, cyber, and covert action operations. LOs have native or near-native level fluency in one or more of the following languages: Arabic Chinese Dari Korean Pashto Persian/Farsi Russian Somali LOs generally are assigned to the Washington, DC area, but have opportunities for overseas travel. Opportunities for LOs to serve multi-year postings overseas are very limited and these positions are highly competitive. Ready to Apply?
