The role.

" Mission of Function"

Team leader of the Global Value Procurement Hub-India (GVP Hub-IN)

Leading the team of Regional Commodity Management (RCM), Cost Value Engineering (CVE), Sustainability (Sus) and Strategic Logistics (SL) team in India which drives successfully local and global productivity, Global value Sourcing , Supply Chain Diversification, Cost transparency and Sus activities to ensure fulfilment of global CNI (Contribution to Net Income), supply chain risk mitigation and meet Sustianibility targets. 

"Dimensions of Function"

In this role, you will have a dual reporting line to the global Manager (Head of GVP) and local Manager (Head of Procurement India). Close collaboration and alignment with the GVP Hub in China and Germany as well as with Global Commodity Managers are required.

Team to handle: Team of 7 people (3 CVE, 2 RCM, 1 Logistics, 1 Sustainability)

Internal: Local and Global Management, Innomotics Procurement Head at HQ, Global procurement teams in CVE, Procurement Engineering, Global Commodity management and other cross functions, like R&D and Engineering.

External: Vendors, Partners

“Professional Experience “ 12+ years of experience in Industry manufacturing (e.g., Motor / Drive branch) experience, with Min. 5 years in different functions, Procurement, Supplier Quality Management (SQM), or Product Lifecycle Management (R&D).

Education Required: BE Mechanical / Electrical and Higher degree.

Product: Medium Voltage Motors, Medium Voltage Drives and Low Voltage Motors

Intercultural: Worked with Global team members, especially with EU, US, and China.

What are my responsibilities?

1. Purchasing strategies & initiatives, global sourcing, supplier development & management:

Define sourcing strategies & initiatives based on business and market conditions, market analysis of material/products/services to be sourced & vendor profile to maximize purchase efficiency. Drive GVS strategies for global Innomotics demand in alignment with Global Commodity Management, Supplier Quality Management, Product Lifecycle Management, and global locations.

Support the global Innomotics factories with sourcing from India to maximize purchase efficiency globally in any strategic sourcing arena.

Identify, negotiate, and award new suppliers, Review and Reporting of KPIs and initiate potential countermeasures. Management of outsourcing partners to ensure best cost, availability, and quality together with cross functions.

2. Cost and Value Engineering

Drive CVE initiatives in Innomotics Global locations but also being ambassador and coach for CVE methods such as target costing and pricing to cross functions in the factories. CVE Sprints, benchmarking projects to be conducted at global locations.

3. Sustainability

Drive Sus initiatives in Innomotics at Global locations e.g. Decarbonization, governance topics.

4. Strategic Logistics

Drive SL initiatives in Innomotics at India as well as Global locations e.g. SL frame contracts, cost effective and green packaging solutions, decarbonization in logistics etc 

5. People Management:

Manage a team of people with different Procurement functions and enable them to achieve their annual targets. Identify, recognize, and recommend rewards for performance to motivate the workforce and ensure smooth working.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Demonstrates ownership culture by initiative in developing plans, execution of those plans, focusing on business results, full transparency, open & honest communication and making bold decisions
  • Demonstrated strategic procurement skills in the areas of sourcing, negotiation, pooling, cost transparency, design-to-cost, cost value engineering, supplier development and supplier relationship management
  • Strong written and verbal Communication skills – if needed on executive level - including extensive expertise in presentation development
  • Demonstrates and applies advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for area managed and expert knowledge of other areas in the company and how they interact.
  • Proofed ability to align with business partners and objectives as well as collaborate cross-functionally
  • 12+ years’ experience in Industry manufacturing (e.g., Motor / Drive) experience, with Min. 5 years in different functions including, Procurement, Supplier Quality Management (SQM), or Product Lifecycle Management (R&D). Experience Working with Global teams for min 5 years, international communication, and intercultural experience (mainly EU, US and China), working experience in Cost Value Engineering, understand and apply methods on cost reduction/ sourcing activities, min 3 years experience in Leadership in the procurement area
  • Ready for travelling domestically and internationally
  • Fluent in English
