The BPG Director, Commercial Finance will be a key member to the $3B group and right hand to the Vice President of Commercial. The individual will also be a member of the Group finance and Commercial Leadership teams focused on top line profitable growth and share gain. The work of this team is multifaceted with high-visibility and impact, which will provide the opportunity to gain valuable regional insights, global experiences, and professional growth.

Our Commercial Finance function is responsible for providing oversight and support for our fast-paced, innovative and global sales teams. By leading activities such as planning, forecasting, budgeting, pricing and close exercises, while leveraging analytics, forecasting and reporting skills, you will help shape the commercial success of our business areas for senior leaders and the sales teams.

What you will do:

  • Provide the financial leadership and be an active and key player of the Commercial LT
  • Partner with and guides Regions and Global Accounts teams
  • Manage and consolidates global commercial bookings and revenue forecasts, prepares a global consolidated view, assessing risks and upsides, and providing input and recommendations.
  • Manage regular reporting and analytics to provide timely visibility, including “to-go” forecast
  • Partners with Commercial Operations team and provides financial oversight on key activities such as funnel health and trend analysis, sales comp and AOT processes, deal desk, contract negotiation and T&Cs.
  • Provide direction to pricing team
  • Partner with the Commercial leaders and guide the best allocation of available resources.
  • Controls and reports out commercial OPEX on a monthly basis
  • Review of large and complex proposals and assess commercial finance risk
  • Drive continued process improvement mentality, including data analytics and automation and associated organizational change within the commercial and finance teams
  • Ensure reporting and financial compliance
  • Owns preparation of Commercial QBRs
  • Lead, develop and inspire the Commercial Finance team to meet the business and finance objectives

How you will get here:

Education

Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related Field. MBA strongly required

Experience

10+ years of relevant working experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Experience leading FP&A, Business Finance, or commercial finance
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to communicate complex topics, navigates ambiguity, and influences through recommendations
  • Ability to optimally operate in a matrix environment, partnering with multiple stakeholders (i.e. commercial and regional leaders, division and BUs)
  • Ability to articulate and demonstrate knowledge of key profit drivers for the business; understand market forces and their impact on future business prospects
  • Challenge assumptions and identify value creation opportunities with
  • Strong influencing skills and experience within a matrixed working environment
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify process and control gaps and champion improvement initiatives through Practical Process Improvement (PPI)
