We are seeking an experienced and results motivated Director or Senior Director of Treasury & Capital Markets to join our team in New York City! This person will play a pivotal role in leading all aspects of Paramount’s capital framework, with responsibilities including management of the debt portfolio and leading new capital markets executions to name a few. As the Director/Sr Director of Treasury & Capital Markets, this position will collaborate extensively with key internal partners including Accounting, Financial Reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Legal, Tax, Corporate Development and divisional finance. This role will also be in contact with key relationship banks and rating agency contacts. 

Reporting directly to the VP, Treasury & Capital Markets, this role will also be responsible to:

  • Support the execution of the company’s capital framework and capital markets activities, including the company’s debt portfolio, capital allocation decisions, financial risk management and hedging strategies.
  • Partner with the EVP, Treasurer and VP, Treasury & Capital Markets to lead capital markets transactions, including new financings, credit facility implementations/renewals/extensions, liability management, and hedging.
  • Analyze various capital markets proposals and lead the building of presentations for the EVP Treasurer and CFO to drive execution of capital markets initiatives.
  • Effectively communicate Treasury initiatives, priorities and metrics to senior management and the Board of Directors through regular Treasury Updates to the Board and ad hoc presentations.
  • Monitor compliance with key covenants under Paramount’s credit agreement and perform quarterly compliance calculations.
  • Closely monitor rating agency ratios and methodologies and assist in managing relationships with the agencies. Track and forecast key rating agency metrics to assist in decision making.
  • Work closely with Treasury Operations and Financial Planning teams to project, track and analyze consolidated cash flow, helping to ensure that senior management is well apprised of the latest forecasts versus targets.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit requests and ensure compliance with company policies and all SOX-related requirements.
  • Lead and participate in various ad-hoc various finance projects.
  • Monitor and project credit metrics such as leverage.
  • Ad hoc financial modeling, cash flow forecasting, and assisting in the management of the return of capital programs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Director level candidates should have a minimum of 10+ years of related experience in Treasury, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking or Consulting, with track record demonstrating success and roles of growing responsibility.
  • Senior Director level candidates should have a minimum of 12+ years of related experience in Treasury, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking or Consulting, with track record demonstrating success and roles of growing responsibility.

Additional Qualifications:

  • MBA and/or CFA preferred but not required.
  • Media industry experience is a plus.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing multiple complex workstreams with competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated understanding of key finance and accounting concepts and how Treasury activities impact the organization financially.
  • Strong and efficient communicator with a focus on improving existing processes.
  • Diligent with strong analytical skills and the ability to multi-task.

Senior Director with 12+ years of experience $176.8k - $196k

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
