Job Description
Adapt or create CAD-models depending on requirements (physical problem, simulation method, time schedule,...);
- Define suitable degree of abstraction of model in communication with mechanical design engineer/reliability engineer based on physical cause relationships;
- Model build up and simulation task including verification, validation, review and documentation;
- Design optimization proposals and cooperation with mechanical project team to decide about product related design changes based on simulation results;
- Validate the simulation results based on experiment results, working also on these experiments if necessary;
- Execute pre-studies and working in research projects, also in combination with experiments if necessary, to achieve progress in simulation method and accuracy;
- Improvement of existing simulation methods and developing supporting tools for more efficient simulation; simulation tool chain and model library maintenance;
- Communicate with Bosch world wide development network;-Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
Master in mechanical/numerical engineering, physics or similar PhD in mechanical/numerical engineering/physics or similar;
Working Experience:
Automotive experience, Experience with finite element analysis, Ansys, FloEFD Knowledge/
Skills:
Skilled in numerical modeling (finite element method, Ansys or Abaqus);CFD (Ice Pack, FloEFD)Familiar with structural mechanical/thermal/thermo-mechanical or vibration alanalysis, material (plastic/metal) behaviour, fatigue, reliability, CFD
