Job Summary:

Raytheon’s Air, Space and Defense Systems (ASDS), Mission Solutions and Payloads (MSP) business is seeking a Requirements & Capabilities (R&C) Associate Director, Space Force Customer Account Manager (AD, SFCAM) with direct experience working with/for the U.S. Space Force (USSF). This individual will be responsible for managing customer relationships with the USSF, U.S. Space Command, and other Department of Defense (DoD) senior leadership and presenting the voice of the customer to the business. This individual will foster an in-depth understanding of customer priorities, future planning, requirements, and challenges. The AD, SFCAM will report to the Director of Requirements and Capabilities for Mission Solutions and Payloads (MSP) and will represent a single face to the customer for Raytheon.

This position is a hybrid role, and the selected applicant will work with the hiring manager to set schedule.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Serve as the primary focal point and Customer Account Manager for the USSF, U.S. Space Command, other Services, and other DoD Space organizations
  • Coordinate, integrate, and synchronize customer engagements and campaign strategies, and facilitate development of new business opportunities within the DoD space customer market
  • Design, construct, and execute customer analysis plans, strategic customer approach plans, and customer contact plans for DoD space organizations
  • Provide the voice, intent, strategic perspective, and planning of DoD Space customers to the Raytheon enterprise; create timely, actionable engagement strategies aligned with customer planning cycles
  • Grow the new business pipeline within the USSF markets/customers, through identification/qualification of new business opportunities
  • Develop and execute strategic and tactical plans for pursuits leading to successful capture of key opportunities
  • Translate customer requirements into executable solutions, suggest technology and other enablers to meet emerging customer needs
  • Own and update the competitive capabilities assessment for the USSF market
  • Support creation and execution of multi-year business growth and execution strategies
  • Domestic travel 25-50%

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years’ experience or an Advance Segree and a minimum of 10 years’ experience working directly for or with DoD space acquisitions, operations, or policy, including senior level leadership responsibilities
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Space market
  • Demonstrated experience working for or with U.S. Space Force, US Space Command, or Space Systems Command
  • Demonstrated experience with missile warning, position navigation and timing (PNT), or satellite ground control systems
  • TS/ SCI clearance required prior to start date
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • US Space Command, US Space Force, or Intelligence Community staff experience with focus on future architectures
  • Experience with the DoD budget and requirements process, as well as the Legislative Branch annual budget and policy process
  • Experience analyzing a broad range of issues and applying strategic thinking to best influence senior DoD civilian and military decision-makers
  • Acquisition experience within Department of Defense and/or the IC
  • Master’s degree in Business Management, National Security, or engineering technical degree desired
  • Significant knowledge of the DoD acquisition and planning/programming processes
  • Retired Flag/General Officer or Senior Executive

The salary range for this role is 158,000 USD - 316,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
