Position Summary

The Regional Supply Planner is accountable for overall finish goods and raw material supply by working with internal schedulers, operations, customer service and external service providers and Tollers to support the business growth. The supply planner needs to have a very high level of understanding of the trade-offs between service level, inventory and manufacturing costs.

This role will report directly to the Regional Planning Lead. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Supply Planning
  • Develop and optimize supply strategy to upgrade performance improving in order fulfillment and cost reduction.
  • Be the primary contact of the planners at manufacturing sites to finalize production plans and discuss supply constraints and exceptions.
  • Supply risk management includes proactive risk identification, assessment, and mitigation plan development with commercial and CSR team in a informative and effective manner.
  • Order management including STO and PO to move materials to the region and close follow-up and monitor the arrival status to meet demand.
  • Continuously improve importing lead time and stability to reduce stockout rates.
  • Participate in new product launch projects as a business partner and execute planning activities during phase-in phase-out programs.
  • Assist customer order related issues/exceptions by working closely with CSRs.
  • Provide operational support & active participation in regional projects.
  • Map and analyze processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
  • Inventory Planning & Management
  • Accountable for overall Asia inventory management incl. internal plants and tolling plants, 3rd party warehouses and goods in transit. Lead master data management to ensure a healthy stock structure.
  • Maintain inventory within target by ABC classification, while minimizing excess, obsolete and expired products; develop overall inventory projections for specific products.
  • Alert any potential shortage or overage to commercial and customer service (CSR) team for further risk mitigation plan.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ supply chain experience in multinational chemical companies, such as supply planner, material planner is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and SAP experience is preferred.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in business, supply chain management, information systems, or related degree preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing process and production strategies, Inventory management and differentiated stock strategies and control. APICS CPIM, CSCP certificate is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP-ECC/APO system and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Power BI is a plus.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills as a team player, driving value-added results and establishing credibility throughout the organization.
  • Ability to collaborate with all levels of management in a cross-functional team environment is required. Attention to details and resilience in working under pressure.
  • Fluent in written and oral English is required.
