Position Overview:

As an Agile Coach/Leader, your primary responsibility is to guide and support teams, departments, or organizations in adopting and implementing agile methodologies and practices. You will serve as a catalyst for change, helping individuals and teams develop a culture of agility, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Your role involves coaching, mentoring, and facilitating agile practices to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Agile Transformation: Drive the agile transformation strategy, assess the organization's readiness for agile practices, and create a roadmap for adoption.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to individuals, teams, and leaders on agile principles, values, and practices. Help them understand and embrace agile mindset and methodologies.
  • Facilitation: Facilitate agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and decision-making within the team.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and work closely with teams to implement agile frameworks and methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean. Encourage experimentation and adaptation to optimize team performance.
  • Team Empowerment: Foster a self-organizing and high-performing team culture by encouraging autonomy, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration. Help teams identify and remove obstacles to ensure smooth progress and delivery of value.
  • Agile Metrics and Reporting: Define, track, and analyze key agile metrics to measure team and organizational performance. Provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making.
  • Training and Education: Conduct training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions to educate individuals and teams about agile concepts, tools, and techniques. Promote continuous learning and improvement.
  • Change Management: Act as a change agent to promote the agile mindset and cultural transformation across the organization. Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to align their expectations and ensure their commitment to the agile journey.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including executives, product owners, and external partners, to ensure alignment, collaboration, and support for agile initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, emerging agile practices, and methodologies. Continuously assess and refine agile coaching approaches and strategies to enhance effectiveness.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of agile principles, values, and methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean, SAFe).
  • Proven experience as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or in a similar role.
  • Excellent coaching, mentoring, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to influence and inspire teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to navigate and resolve conflicts within teams and across departments.
  • Knowledge of agile metrics and tools for tracking team and organizational performance.
  • Experience in agile transformation and change management.
  • Certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or Agile Certified Coach (ACC) or SAFe Practitioner (SP) / SAFe Practitioner Consultant (SPC) are desirable.
  • Experience in software development or project management is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Business, or Engineering) is preferred.
