Summary

Prepares and coordinates LVHN monthly corporate consolidated financial statements. Directly and indirectly supervises the work of accounting staff as well as Finance Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) staff.

Job Duties

  • Supervises/prepares the monthly consolidated financial reporting including financial statements, variance analysis, statistical and financial ratio reporting. Coordinates and oversees the associated quality review process and ensures timely and accurate completion in accordance with the LVHN monthly closing schedule.
  • Supervises the day-to-day operation of the work of the Director of Finance ERP, Senior Accountants, Staff Accountants, Accounting Clerical personnel as assigned including developing priorities, managing workload, conflicts and improvements in processes.
  • Assists and provides oversight to the integration and adoption of new Enterprise Resource Planning Systems within LVHN (including acquisitions).
  • Supervises and ensures effective operational use of financial reporting computer systems including General Ledger and Account Reconciliation management tools. Establishes internal controls and quality review processes to ensure accurate consolidation and reporting.
  • Assists in the annual external audit including planning; preparation of work papers; and supporting audit schedules, preparation/review of Quarterly Footnote Reports and Annual Audit report, and direct interfacing with auditors to answer questions; clarifies issues in accordance with GAAP and the Healthcare Audit Guide
  • Reviews new accounting standards and accounting standards updates; ensures proformas are prepared and implemented.
  • Develops, maintains, and updates Finance Department policies, procedures, and internal controls in accordance with GAAP and Healthcare Audit Guide.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance
  • 10 years of experience in accounting or finance and
  • 5 years of experience in management position

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in business administration
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and high aptitude for financial systems.
  • CPA - Certified Public Accountant - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
