Small Animal Veterinarian With Optional Mixed/Equine Caseload in Rock Springs, Wyoming

PetVet Care Centers

PetVet Care Centers, Inc. is one of the nation’s leading operators of veterinary hospitals for companion animals. The company operates over 450 hospitals across multiple states and employs over 11,000 people including over 800 veterinarians. Since its inception, PetVet has been structured around a model that is focused on developing a partnership between the hospitals and the company and providing the highest quality medicine and service.

Mountainaire Animal Clinic in Rock Springs, Wyoming is looking for a full-time small animal Veterinarian to join our team (also open to candidates with mixed practice or small-equine interest). We are a full service hospital that cares primarily for companion animals and horses, although one of our associates also has an interest in exotics, and we occasionally care for locally owned small ruminants. We have over 15,000 clients and we know most of them by their first name!

The location of our hospital allows us to provide much more than just wellness care. The nearest specialty and emergency centers are in Salt Lake City, Utah, which is about 3 hours away. A veterinarian looking for an exciting and diverse caseload would thrive at our hospital. All of our veterinarians have developed areas of interest, which we encourage and support. Our experienced veterinarians are happy to provide mentorship to newer grads in emergency surgeries like splenectomies, foreign bodies, GDV, and C-sections. We also perform orthopedic surgeries to repair torn CCLs, luxating patellas, and fractures. We currently have a 4:1 tech:doctor ratio and a very low turnover rate, so some of our techs have been with us for a decade or more! Our hospital offers extensive diagnostic and therapeutic equipment for small and large animals. We have an Idexx in-house laboratory, digital radiography, Wisonic ultrasound, endoscopy, therapeutic K-laser, and acupuncture supplies. Our small animal surgery suite is equipped with one of our three digital radiography machines, C02 surgical laser, orthopedic and advanced soft tissue surgery equipment, and a dedicated technician to monitor patients during surgery.

What can we offer experienced veterinarians?

  • Guaranteed base salary of $120K with a pro-sal bonus structure
  • Flexible scheduling and the option to focus on small animal or mixed practice depending on your interests
  • Up to $50k in signing and retention bonuses
  • Negotiable relocation packages
  • A comprehensive benefits package including PTO, CE allowance, 401k, medical/dental/vision, etc.

Mountainaire Animal Clinic is located in Rock Springs, in Southwest Wyoming. Wyoming is known for its year-round outdoor recreational activities, including snow skiing, snowboarding, hiking, horseback riding, hunting, camping, and fishing, as well as the beautiful National Parks and Monuments like Yellowstone, Zion and Arches National Park. Furthermore, Rock Springs has great schools and a close knit community. We are very close to a busy equine event center, allowing for growth in our equine caseload.
