The role of the Associate Director, Global EHS Manufacturing is to develop and implement programs and plans to manage EHS risks associated with manufacturing operations. Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations and company policies. Specialized focus on development, deployment and support of core technical EHS processes and standards. You will collaborate as part of the Global EHS team, reporting into a member of the EHS Global Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

  • Support on site gap assessment, technical review & audits on assigned programs.
  • Partner with manufacturing leadership to improve their competence/capability in EHS topics and the EHS programs on-site.
  • Guide the successful implementations of EHS management systems and core technical standards across CSL. Suporting manufacturing, engineering, maintenance functions on implementation of EHS standards and programs.
  • Help review capital projects for manufacturing operations, being the EHS subject matter expert. Ensuring full integration of EHS in project life cycle.
  • Help develop wholistic operating mechanisms required for global EHS Governance against policies, strategy, requirements and objectives.
  • Review/Lead– Incident Investigation for SiF and pSIF, Loss of Primary Containment Events (Major and Minor) and other Process Safety Events
  • Coach and teach investigation skills, root cause analysis and CAPA's at all levels.
  • Collaborate with EHS personnel from all CSL locations to ensure consistency and best practices across the enterprise.
  • Facilitate PHAs (initial and revalidation), pre-startup safety reviews, and participation in MOC reviews.

Provide leadership and act as the subject matter expert on important EHS programs (LOTO, PTW ) across the organization.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering or equivalent, advanced degree preferred with at least 7 years of EHS or related experience.

Experience

  • Well versed in EHS management systems such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • 7+ years of demonstrated technical expertise with progressive experience managing environmental, health and safety programs in pharmaceutical or FDA-regulated industry.
  • Experience in PSM, SIF Prevention Permit to Work System is required.
  • Experience in EHS compliance, EHS risk management and development of EHS programs (LOTO, waste, wastewater, air pollution, biodiversity, pharmaceuticals in the environment).
