Facilitate community focused project implementation

  • Implement project activities as per the detailed implementation plan and budget available.
  • Facilitate community mobilisation at the start of a project, community engagement during the life of the project and community closure at the end of the project.
  • Organize community meetings for awareness raising, in a timely way, to ensure good community representation.
  • Confidently communicate project goals, outcomes, outputs and activities to communities on a regular basis to ensure they remain aware and engaged.
  • With support of the DM, ensure a community feedback mechanism is in place and is well socialized with communities so communities can provide input raise concerns on the project. Provide input to Manager on solutions to address community feedback and share responses back to communities.
  • Work closely with communities, partners, colleagues and manager to ensure good planning is in place for all activities and the resources needed for activities are requested and sourced ahead of time.
  • At the end of each activity, meet with the DM to reflect on the activity, including success stories and community feedback.
  • Ensure that all project activity implementation are inclusive.
  • Act as a role model and display positive attitudes when travel out to other area programs.

Quality Assurance

  • Closely monitor project activities and outputs, filling in monitoring information on a regular basis.
  • Participate in team learning and reflection activities and contribute to the preparation of monthly reflection reports, monitoring, and planning reports.
  • Development of activity reports to inform the Monthly Reflection and Monitoring and Planning (MRMP) document, highlighting recommendations for future implementations.
  • Identify, follow up and submit checklist right after activities, to be included in MRMP reporting’s.
  • Proactively raise up issues, potential challenges or adjustments to project plans (activities, communities or stakeholders/partners) with the DM.
  • Accountable and manage WV project assets eg. Phone, Laptop, Tools, Materials and Equipment
  • Fully attend compulsory L&D organized by P&C or managers.
  • Maintain clear and detailed records of project activities including beneficiary, Impact Stories check list, and participant reports.
  • Participate in Area Nakamal meetings to share reflections on project feedback and discuss suggestions on the way forward.

Representation & Networking

  • Represent World Vision when Managers are not available. Reporting to Managers with minutes from the meetings attended.
  • Identify, establish and maintain good relationships on behalf of World Vision with Chiefs, Church leaders, Community Focal Point Person, Community-Based Organizations, schools, NGOs and other Government Ministries.
  • Promote discussions with community leaders to carry out and monitor project activities and discuss any potential issues.
  • Pro-actively raise up requests from the media or Comms officer to talk about project activities with the DM.
  • Refer inquiries about projects from the media to the appropriate person at WVV.
  • Identify and report child and adult safe Guarding incidents.
  • Oversee coordination of casual staff during the field visit for security, safety and wellbeing.

Administration & Documentation

  • Submit accurate cash advances, financial acquittals, travel authorization requests and purchase requests on time and demonstrate efficient use of WVV funds in line with work plans. Consult with the DM before submitting all documentation.
  • Ensure all project documentation is updated and filed (electronically and hardcopy as required) in accordance with audit/donor/ organizational requirements. Including proper storage of leftover training and construction materials.

  • Disaster Response: able to deploy as required in the event of an emergency response
  • Able to take up new roles in an emergency response.
