Barracuda is looking for an energetic Social Media Intern who will help the Marketing/Communications team in day-to-day activities in Social Media strategy and management/execution, campaigns, copywriting, content creation, and special projects. This opportunity will be both educational and practical. The ideal candidate will be immersed in social media, creative, and have a strong interest in cultivating social engagement.

What you'll be working on

• Learn the life cycle of social content creation
• Experience creating a content calendar for multiple social media platforms
• Learn social strategy through content planning / brand voice / copywriting
• Engage our community through social posting and replies
• Conceptualize, execute, refine, and publish social activations in a professional setting

What you bring to the role

• Pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Graphic Design, or a related field
• Detailed-oriented, organized, and able to manage competing priorities
• A great communicator, both written and verbal
• Passionate about technology with an interest in cybersecurity industry
• Knowledgeable in online social culture (and yes, memes)

Campbell, CA only. The target earnings for this role are $22.00 - $25.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the individual’s area of study and level of education completed as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, the budget for the position, and applicable employment laws.
