We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect with a robust background in software development to architect and implement complex software solutions. This role is ideal for a seasoned software developer eager to focus on architectural design while remaining hands-on with coding. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between technical solutions and business needs, ensuring our projects exceed both technical and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect scalable, resilient, and efficient software solutions.
  • Collaborate with product and development teams to refine architectural designs, ensuring alignment with business requirements and end-user needs.
  • Utilize a lightweight agile, design-led methodology to translate requirements into actionable architectural plans.
  • Analyze, design, and implement complex system and software solutions using customer-focused design methodologies, delivered via public cloud platforms.
  • Contribute to hands-on development efforts as needed, demonstrating expertise in coding and technical execution.
  • Maintain high standards of software development practices, mentoring peers in coding best practices and new technologies.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and cloud computing advancements to drive innovation within our projects.
  • Engage with the broader technology community through conferences, meetups, and workshops to integrate cutting-edge techniques and technologies into our strategies.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a demonstrated transition towards software architecture.
  • Diploma / Degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science, Engineering / or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in software development using languages such as Javascript, Python, or similar.
  • Extensive experience in cloud services (preferably AWS) and are comfortable with cloud-native solution design.
  • Extensive experience with web servers, databases, and software development using languages such as Javascript, Python, or similar.
  • Expertise in developing and deploying containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and using CI/CD pipelines with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
  • Strong understanding of microservices architectures and the ability to design complex software solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and a strong focus on delivering user-centric solutions.
  • Critical thinking, value judgment and common sense over process.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Positive attitude to learning new skills and technologies.

The successful candidate will join the Sustainable Finance and Investment division of LSEG. Here you will work with SF&I business stakeholders and Technology department to deliver innovative sustainability products and services. As a global organisation, you will work with teams based around the world, including Singapore, London and New York.
