About the Role

GoodRx is looking for a talented and motivated Finance Director, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis to join our growing finance team. Reporting to the VP of FP&A the candidate will play a critical role in forecasting, business planning, management reporting, and business analytics activities. A hands-on yet strategic leader, the Director will have a proven track record of building and leading the planning activities of a public company, creating a culture of financial transparency and accountability to drive profitable and sustainable growth, and becoming a trusted partner to key stakeholders across the organization.

The Finance Director will collaborate with members of the finance and accounting team and other business stakeholders to manage our planning and reporting processes, analyze our financial performance and partner with the GoodRx leadership team to provide financial consulting and strategic advice, playing a crucial role in building a financial and strategic foundation for a rapidly growing company with a great mission.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem solver and collaborative team player with strong quantitative and qualitative skills, a strong sense of ownership and urgency, and an incredible work ethic, who can manage up and down effectively. A deep understanding of consumer-focused technology and marketplace companies is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Own the company’s consolidated forecast model and expense planning; work with FP&A business partners, accounting, people operations, investor relations, corporate development, and tax to create annual and long-range plans as well as insightful reporting packages
  • Manage FP&A resources focused on specific elements of the forecast model, such as headcount planning or specific lines of business
  • Lead the continual improvement of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across the company, including implementation and management of forecasting and reporting tools, processes, and systems
  • Use strong financial and business acumen to assist the executive team and other leaders in the creation of enterprise-wide strategic plans
  • Review and guide team to refine departmental planning and reporting processes and feedback mechanisms to increase transparency and accountability and improve upon the quality of future budgets and forecasts
  • Drive change throughout the organization to improve financial discipline, as well as increase the financial business acumen of non-financial leaders throughout GoodRx; become the trusted partner of business owners throughout GoodRx to help make better business decisions and ensure spend is aligned with plans and with strategic priorities
  • Manage weekly, monthly and quarterly dashboards, operating result packages and board materials
  • Provide insightful analysis regarding period over period and actual vs. forecast performance; continually improve and manage variance analyses reporting
  • Conduct ad-hoc research and analyses around performance and profitability, addressable market, resource allocations, operational efficiencies, etc.
  • Identify financial opportunities and risks associated with current and new finance and enterprise-wide processes, initiatives and methods, and actively participate in the development and execution of plans which helps GoodRx successfully attain the benefits from current and future opportunities and adequately remediate risks

Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant finance experience, with at least 4 years in a publicly-traded company. Investment banking, management consulting, or pre-IPO private company corporate finance experience are all pluses
  • Ability to build and leverage a high performing team
  • A proven ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in a simple manner
  • Expert-level Excel and PowerPoint skills, experience with database management tools and sophisticated modeling tools (experience using Oracle EPM / SmartView is a plus)
  • Self-starter who is able to deliver in a dynamic environment under tight timelines and changing priorities; must be “hands-on"
  • Excellent team player that can also work well independently and with limited direction; highly driven and self-motivated
  • High level of business acumen, the ability to analyze and assess opportunities and issues within the business
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Bachelor’s in a related field degree required

The pay ranges below are shown as a guideline, and the successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and other relevant business and organizational factors. $169,000.00 - $271,000.00

New York and Seattle Offices:

$155,000.00 - $249,000.00

Santa Monica Office:

$141,000.00 - $226,000.00

Other Office Locations:

$127,000.00 - $203,000.00
