Overview

As part of SRAM’s Product Development team, the Associate Test Development Engineer will build, test, and verify innovative, new components – mechanically & electronically – for the cycling industry. Home of RockShox, SRAM’s Colorado facility sits in the shadow of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, more specifically Pikes Peak, and delivers some of the best bike riding in the US. Much of the brake and suspension development teams work in the office where gravity is primary to product development and testing. Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision, develop test plans, procedures and methods for testing of SRAM products.
  • Collaborate with Engineers to design, build, manage, and continuously improve automated development test systems for mechatronic devices.
  • Characterize product behavior, analyze test data, and communicate results to support product development.
  • Apply statistics and reliability to develop test plans.
  • Assist in writing, reviewing, and releasing test procedures.
  • Incorporates continuous improvement concepts, systems, and tools in daily work.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred); or equivalent.
  • Recent graduate with engineering internships, Co-ops, or special projects; or up to 3 years professional experience after graduation.
  • Experience in test execution.
  • Experience with a variety of mechatronic and sensing technologies.
  • Experience developing LabView and/or Python application, scripts and modules.
  • Exceptional communication, teamwork and relationship skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • 3D Modeling.
  • Failure Analysis.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to work with a globally distributed team. (1-3 one-week trips per year to domestic and international locations).
  • This role is intended to work onsite in our Colorado Springs SRAM location. Non-local candidates will be expected to relocate.
  • The benefits of this position include group health insurance including medical, dental, vision, and ancillary plans. As well as 401k match, life insurance, long-term disability, and paid time off. Starting salary $70,000 up to +15% based on skills and experience level. This position is eligible for an annual corporate bonus based on company and individual performance.
