Title: Associate Director, Hem-Onc Portfolio Marketing

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced, results-oriented, and strategic marketer to join the Hem-Onc portfolio marketing team. This individual will support portfolio/franchise marketing needs across the Hem-Onc business and will partner closely with the brand marketers and cross functional teams. The Associate Director will be responsible for strategically driving forward pan-tumor initiatives (for example, Dual-IO campaign work) and franchise initiatives (for example, customer facing Hem-Onc narrative, Health Equity Speaker Program content). This person will also be tasked with understanding how to and identifying meaningful ways to partner with tumors and brands to support to drive BMS Oncology Leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Under the leadership of the Portfolio Marketing Director, this role will develop and maintain a clear portfolio marketing strategies to support the overarching US hematology-oncology business.
  • Drives partnership and collaboration across US and WW portfolio marketing needs (for example, supporting I-O portfolio needs). 
  • Partner seamlessly with brand teams, omnichannel partners, finance, medical, corporate affairs, R&D and WW to support initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain initiatives that are shared and aligned across the matrix for the key educational objectives for key target audiences.
  • Assess and monitor customer insights and market events influencing BMS Oncology and Hematology portfolio leadership.
  • Manage portfolio / franchise strategic, tactical and media plans and lead the supporting portfolio marketing initiatives.
  • Maintains an understanding of key matrix partner and brand partners workstreams and coordinate appropriate introductions to ensure best practice sharing across Hematology and Oncology brands.
  • Define / create critical connection points with matrix partners (Strategy & Operations, Medical, BI&A, Commercial, IT, legal, medical, regulatory (PReP), compliance and others) to drive development of shared strategies, action plans and & execution / performance metrics.
  • Continuously champions an innovation and growth mindset that seeks to identify and leverage new approaches and solutions to achieve the vision.

Qualifications & Experience?

  • Candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years of Commercial Pharma Experience with a strong preference in Marketing.
  • Experience interfacing with different levels of organizations within BMS.
  • Experience in managing external resources and partners, including agencies, and collaborating with the BMS Omnichannel hub.
  • Proven track record of planning, prioritizing, and driving new and evolving workstreams within a complex organization. 
  • Demonstrated ability to execute in a highly dynamic market.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to structure ambiguous challenges and opportunities, along with an ability to drive the execution of initiatives ranging from pilot to large scale.
  • Optimizing output through effective project management, strategic / critical thinking, and marketing skills to drive decisions and manage expectations.
  • Prioritize a wide range of execution tactics with an understanding of the big picture and inter-dependencies across processes and systems.
  • A proven track record of collaborating and “leading without authority” to successfully work with complex, multidisciplinary talent teams in new endeavors and delivering solutions.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience working in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Experience in Hematology and/or Oncology preferred.
  • Experience with PReP review process and Veeva PromoMats preferred.

Degree/Certification/Licensure: BA/BS required
