Fortinet is growing and we are expanding our China technical support teams in China Technical Assistance Centre, we are looking for strong technical support engineers at all levels. We require candidates with the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner to gather and analyze information and to skillfully develop alternative solutions for customers.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide direct technical support via the phone and ticketing/email system to our customers and partners through-out China.
  • Analysis, technical investigation and resolution of reported problems involving the core of Fortinet Products - FortiGate, FortiClient and FortiEMS.
  • Reproduce customer environments on lab equipment.
  • Collect data and traces for investigation or to escalate issue to the next level.
  • Running real-time troubleshooting sessions with partners/customers.
  • Reporting Software/Hardware related issues to R&D department.
  • Manage technical cases, and control the right expectation until the closure of the cases.
  • Take initiatives and ownership of the problem to drive for results.
  • Develop core competency on Fortinet product line and technologies.

Requirements:

  • 5 years or more of previous experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • CCNP and above is an advantage.
  • Solid understanding of Web Application Firewall and Anti-Spam Mail System.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSI model and TCP/IP protocol.
  • In-depth knowledge of HTTP, SMTP/POP3/IMAP, LDAP and DNS protocol.
  • Basic knowledge of Regular Expressions.
  • Advanced knowledge about security technologies such as SSL/TLS and PKI.
  • Administrative knowledge of Windows, Unix or Linux.
  • Database knowledge is an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure with moderate supervision.
  • Positive, communicative and customer oriented attitude.
  • Quick learner.
