The Scoop:

The Project/Account Manager provides general management for the project, to include management of key resources (DDI Manager and Operations Manager) and all associated sub- contractors. This position creates, coordinates and develops complete project plans and associated documentation. Leads the efforts of a multi-disciplinary project team through various stages of the project lifecycle, including vision and scope, requirements analysis and requires close partnership with internal/external client counterparts.

What You Get To Do:

  • Acts as MedImpact’s principal interface with the State
  • Schedules and provisions resources
  • Presents all formal communication and correspondence to the State
  • Responsible for addressing any issues that cannot be resolved with the Project
  • Responsible for all subcontractor relationships accounts that have included both DOI and operations
  • Track projects and issues closely and leads issue resolution meetings during projects
  • Defines and documents the detailed project documentation, scope details, business requirements, testing plans, and provides guidance to team members for implementing the appropriate solution for clients
  • Develops project plans to fully document all business tasks, resources, and timelines to ensure that the project scope is fully defined
  • Conducts frequent status meetings to ensure timelines are being met and to report status of projects to internal/external clients and management
  • Manages risks throughout the project by identifying, communicating, tracking and mitigating

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience

For consideration candidates will need:

  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in professional services, development, client support or project management
  • Minimum of five (5) years direct project oversight and authority over ongoing relationships with clients where its firm has implemented enterprise solutions
  • Previously experience managing a DDI project and transition to an ongoing M&O in a similar environment
  • Must have excellent communications skills, writing skills, small group facilitation skills, and formal presentation skills

Computer Skills

Advanced skill set in MS Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook. Intermediate to advanced knowledge in Visio. Experience as a user of multiple business software applications is required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

PMP certification or a comparable project management certification preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities

Must be exceptionally consultative face to face with clients. Excellent organization, written and verbal communication skills. Good business acumen and understanding of the business processes of PBM services; Good decision-making skills, including expert problem-solving skills, problem analysis and discernment under pressure; Good planning, organizing, prioritizing, negotiating, team building, and leadership capabilities; Demonstrated ability to positively interact with clients at all levels of their organization. Demonstrated accountability for achieving service commitments and ability to deliver results under tight timelines.

Travel

This position requires domestic travel of up to 30% of the time.
