HOW A MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Conducting the daily operations for the mobile communications maintenance work center to include planning preventative maintenance, diagnosing the need for and coordinating corrective maintenance, and producing detailed documentation of maintenance actions.
  • Performing maintenance and engineering on mobile (vehicle-based) communications platforms including the following equipment systems - satellite communications terminals, VHF/UHF radio systems, cryptographic systems, computer systems and peripherals, IT network infrastructure, and cellular data systems.
  • Coordinating and conducting baseline configuration, updates, patches, troubleshooting, and repairs for all communications equipment to include generating schedules for preventative maintenance of the same.
  • Providing on-the-job training and guidance to assigned military servicemembers in both the maintenance of equipment and the generation of accurate maintenance documentation within the designated system of record.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: BS/BA or Equivalent experience
  • Required Experience: 8+ Years’ related experience
  • Required Technical Skills: CompTIA Security+ (DoD 8570 Compliance)
  • Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret with SCI Eligibility
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent written communication and technical documentation skills
  • Preferred Skills: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Location: On Customer Site
