JOB PURPOSE:

The Marketing and Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting overall marketing efforts for CenterLight Healthcare PACE, Best Choice, and other affiliated entities. This position will be an integral part of accomplishing the organization’s marketing and brand awareness goals. The Marketing and Communications Specialist will help coordinate CenterLight’s promotional campaigns and activities to best reach target audiences, including advertising, collateral development, digital marketing, and other initiatives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Marketing and Communications team with the implementation of the marketing plan for CenterLight in accordance with organizational goals.
  • Conduct market research of competitors and service areas to help identify audiences that will aid in developing appropriate branding and marketing tactics.
  • Assist with the development and production of the organization’s marketing materials including, but not limited to, brochures, flyers, newsletters, posters, business systems, events, advertising, and marketing templates.
  • Write and design compelling, engaging and fresh marketing/advertising materials for traditional and digital media.
  • Work with the rest of the Marketing and Communications team to develop content promoting the organization’s offerings that highlight competitive advantage, events, and help position CenterLight staff as subject matter experts in the healthcare industry. 
  • Maintain the Marketing and Communications team’s materials list, help with the maintenance of the storefront platform to keep track of inventory and assist the Business Development and Community Outreach teams with ordering and getting the materials they need for outreach activities.
  • Place orders/requisitions for marketing and promotional materials on CenterLight’s Workday platform and help process invoices as needed.
  • Support the Marketing and Communications, Business Development, and Community Outreach teams with coordinating sponsorships, organizing community and PACE site events, and representing the organization at events as needed.
  • Coordinate printing and production of marketing and participant materials and promotional items, and serve as liaison between CenterLight and print/production/promotional item vendors.
  • Assist in analyzing market, enrollment, and disenrollment data and help create reports.
  • Support the team with the development and maintenance of CenterLight’s website.
  • Conduct daily monitoring of the organization’s digital presence.
  • Support the team in copywriting, design, and placement of print, TV, radio, and digital advertising for the organization.
  • Write compelling content/photo captions for social media, facilitate necessary approvals, and post on the organization’s Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn pages.
  • Gather appropriate releases from participants and staff as needed prior to using their names/images in marketing materials and on social media.
  • Ensure that marketing materials, website, social media projects, and campaigns/programs are compliant with CMS, NYSDOH, PACE, and other regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, Section 1557).
  • Ensure that all marketing materials are following the branding style guide, and that all printed materials are on brand.
  • Work with the rest of the Marketing and Communications team to develop and produce CenterLight’s participant materials, including, but not limited to, member handbooks and newsletters.
  • Ensure CenterLight’s compliance with CMS, NYSDOH, and PACE regulations regarding required participant communications.
  • Coordinate the development, production, and mailing of all participants communications (e.g., new and replacement participant IDs, annual mailings, participant newsletters, ad hoc communications), and any other letters as needed.
  • Coordinate the development of provider materials.
  • Work with the designated vendor in the translation of marketing, participant, departmental, and all other CenterLight materials, and facilitate internal accuracy reviews.
  • Work with the Business Development, Intake/Enrollment, Disenrollment, and Provider Relations Teams to identify referral and enrollment trends, and use this information in developing a marketing strategy.
  • Assist the Marketing and Communications Team in the development of external and internal communications, including press releases, external announcements, employee intranet updates, and staff communications.
  • Coordinate responses to press inquiries as needed.
  • Help coordinate the organization’s public relations initiatives including press releases and media alerts.
  • Support the organization’s growth initiatives through marketing campaigns and activities.
  • Support all areas within the organization including but not limited to Care Delivery, Human Resources, Compliance, Finance, other CenterLight departments, and all PACE sites by developing materials, helping organize events/programs, and assisting CenterLight departments with their initiatives and marketing and communications needs.
  • Help with the creation of training materials for staff. Engage in staff development and develop training materials for staff’s continuing education.
  • Assist the Marketing and Communications, Business Development and Intake and Enrollment teams with daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reports as needed.
  • Participate with quality improvement projects.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Weekly Hours: 40 hours

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Marketing and/or Communications

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of strategic marketing experience, preferably in healthcare specifically geriatrics, home care, MLTC, MAP, D-SNP, and/or PACE long-term care products.
  • Deep knowledge of community-based long-term care services to dual eligible and frail adult population a plus.
  • Ability to grasp and maintain knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements with respect to health care eligibility, coverage, and services of various public programs.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience managing both traditional and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Experience creating end-to-end, data-driven marketing plans.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat Professional preferred.
  • Experience with using Canva and other design software.

  • Highly organized and flexible to meet submission deadlines.
  • Written and verbal fluency in a secondary language a plus.

Physical Requirements

Individuals must be able to sustain certain physical requirements essential to the job. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Standing – Duration of up to 6 hours a day.
  • Sitting/Stationary Positions – Sedentary position in duration of up to 6-8 hours a day for consecutive hours/periods.
  • Lifting/Push/Pull – Up to 50 pounds of equipment, baggage, supplies, and other items used in the scope of the job using OSHA guidelines, etc.
  • Bending/Squatting – Have to be able to safely bend or squat to perform the essential functions under the scope of the job.
  • Stairs/Steps/Walking/Climbing – Must be able to safely maneuver stairs, climb up/down, and walk to access work areas.
  • Agility/Fine Motor Skills - Must demonstrate agility and fine motor skills to operate and activate equipment, devices, instruments, and tools to complete essential job functions (ie. typing, use of supplies, equipment, etc.)
  • Sight/Visual Requirements – Must be able to visually read documentation, papers, orders, signs, etc., and type/write documentation, etc. with accuracy.
  • Audio Hearing and Motor Skills (Language) Requirements – Must be able to listen attentively and document information from patients, community members, co-workers, clients, providers, etc., and intake information through audio processing with accuracy. In addition, they must be able to speak comfortably and clearly with language motor skills for customers to understand the individual.
  • Cognitive Ability – Must be able to demonstrate good decision-making, reasonableness, cognitive ability, rational processing, and analysis to satisfy essential functions of the job.

Salary Range (Min-Max):

$60,000.00 - $68,000.00
