Job Summary

The Student Assistant will support the Computer Science on the Statesboro Campus beginning Spring 2024.

Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a comprehensive literature review to identify and evaluate existing methodologies for the early diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases
  • Conduct a comparative analysis of different machine learning models in predicting neurodegenerative diseases

Shift Specifics

  • Up to 10 hours per week
  • Flexible with schedule of availability

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Experience

  • Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in machine learning and predictive analytics
  • Familiarity with the use of various data analysis and machine learning tools and methodologies 
  • An understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling 

Proposed Salary

$15.00 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
