Soni is partnering with a Logistics and Transportation provider in their search for a Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Director. The Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Director is responsible for leading efforts in sourcing, attracting, hiring, and integrating top talent. The Director will develop and implement strategies for talent acquisition, employer branding, and new employee onboarding, creating a seamless and positive experience for candidates and new hires alike.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive talent acquisition strategies to identify, attract, and hire top talent, including employer branding initiatives and recruitment marketing.
  • Lead the talent acquisition team, setting high performance standards and aligning recruitment practices with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of an effective onboarding program that ensures a smooth integration process for new hires, promoting early engagement and long-term retention.
  • Partner with department leaders to understand current and future hiring needs, developing tailored recruitment plans to meet these requirements.
  • Partner with external agencies on selecting high priority critical roles and temporary workers.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job posting and interviewing to offer negotiation and hiring, ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout.
  • Implement and leverage advanced recruitment technologies and social media platforms to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the talent acquisition process.
  • Monitor and analyze recruitment metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in the recruitment and onboarding processes, fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
  • Facilitate leadership and development training for hiring managers to improve interviewing skills, candidate selection, and onboarding practices.
  • Stay informed about trends, innovations, and best practices in talent acquisition and onboarding, continuously improving our processes and approaches.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in Talent Acquisition
  • Experience in the shipping/logistics/transportation industry
  • Experience using UKG
  • Ability to travel to different locations (30%)

Compensation: $160,000 - $180,000

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
