Reporting to the IT Manager, Internal Control, working with Financial control Manager testing ITGCs and ITACs, you will be part of the team responsible for planning, executing, and reporting results of audit procedures, primarily relating to the assessment of financial controls over financial reporting to address the requirements of the Sarbanes Oxley Act. You will be working closely with process owners to develop, support, and maintain an effective IT control environment. The position offers a unique opportunity to see and understand controls across a broad range of Nutrien’s diversified, international operations.

This position is located in Calgary, Alberta, or Saskatoon, Saskatchewan or Loveland, Colorado and is available for hybrid work.

What you will do:

  • Conduct IT SOX based work to test, document and report on the IT General Controls and IT Application Controls over new, existing and changing internal processes and controls;
  • Assess the testing results of key IT control testing with IT process owners;
  • Support the identification and assessment of risks associated with Nutrien’s Information Technology (IT) environment; 
  • Work closely with IT process owners to develop and implement remediation plans or find alternate solutions for any issues identified;
  • Work with the company's external auditors to discuss findings and potential solutions;
  • Interact with necessary stakeholders concerning findings and recommendations resulting from SOX and the external auditor's work;
  • Document testing results and provide recommendations for control deficiencies identified;
  • Conduct appropriate follow-up to ensure deficiencies have been effectively addressed;
  • Any other responsibilities as directed by Leader.

What you will bring:

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills which are essential for interacting with all levels of the organization;
  • Enthusiastic team player who is committed to getting the job done in a fast paced, high performing dynamic environment
  • Bachelor degree with at least 6 years IT SOX or audit experience in a large public company or public accounting firm;
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA);
  • Thorough understanding of, and experience with, IT risk and control frameworks, SOX based requirements for major corporations, including COSO and COBIT;
  • Experience with large ERP systems, preferably SAP, Oracle and PeopleSoft;
  • Proficiency with Visio and Microsoft Office Suite of products;
  • Able to work self guided with limited direct supervision;
  • Commitment to deadlines and attention to detail

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range $90,400 - $124,300. This range is estimated for Sr Analyst, IT Controls positions in Loveland, CO. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan [insert when Ltip eligible], consistent with the terms of our plan(s), which provide discretionary award opportunities reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee. Details will be discussed through the application process.
