What You Will Do

  • Lead client focused cloud architecture teams and provide technical leadership in the planning, design, and architecture phases of cloud migration.
  • Drive the migration process forward to meet client objectives, client schedule, industry best practices and security initiatives.
  • Architect solutions for application migrations to AWS
  • Work with a cross-functional team to translate customer requirements into detailed architectural approaches and migration playbooks, create realistic development plans and schedules, evaluate, and prioritize requests for requirement changes and enhancements.
  • Understand business needs as well as customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Apply creativity, in-depth technical and theoretical knowledge, and experience in solving highly complex architectural design problems.
  • Recommend new technology directions or options to maintain cloud migration schedules.
  • Communicate technology design and any related issues to technical and non-technical audiences including customers and technical partners.
  • Prepare and document product architecture plans.
  • Design technical testing methods to meet target product scalability and performance objectives.

Skills and Experience You Will Need

Required:

  • Experience architecting, designing, and programming applications in an AWS Cloud environment.
  • Experience with K8/EKS, GitLab, Nexus, Microservice, event driven systems, high volume active/active solutions, java, Spring.
  • Working knowledge of physical, virtual, and cloud deployment strategies
  • Experience working with Infrastructure and Network architects to design, scale and manage complex enterprise infrastructure.
  • Solid understanding of database architecture – Relational models, replication strategies, SQL with 1 or more major database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Postgres, MySQL)
  • Knowledge and experience with N-Tiered architectures including middleware layers ESB’s, Web Services, and Messaging constructs.
  • Knowledge of DevOps concepts – ability to articulate, advocate and implement automation concepts for CI/CD and associated configuration management, automated deployment, and validation.
