SALARY: $21/hour

SHIFT: Mon-Fri ( on-site: North York) 8 hours shift

Mill Street Brewery is a leading craft brewer with a portfolio of over 70 unique and innovative beers. Founded in 2002 in Toronto, it is today the largest brewer of certified organic beer in Canada and produces some of the country’s most environmentally responsible beers.

ROLE SUMMARY:

In this position you will play a key role in the implementation of our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and supporting initiatives in the maintenance department. Your work on the CMMS will allow the streamlining of maintenance processes, improve the brewery maintenance program, and enable us to make great beer safely and efficiently.

The Maintenance support intern will be involved in all aspects of the brewery including brewing, packaging and logistics. This role will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and work closely with the Operations management team and maintenance technicians.

You will be working in a manufacturing environment. This job will require both time in the office and time on the floor.

This is a four month internship with the possibility of extension.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build upon the CMMS framework to improve system functionality
  • Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance schedules through technical analysis of our brewery processes and equipment
  • Enhance an inventory system for our critical equipment spare parts to avoid unnecessary downtime.
  • Support the success of the maintenance department by helping problem solve corrective maintenance issues. This includes reviewing equipment manuals, P&ID’s and working with 3rd party vendors.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in industrial and/or manufacturing environment would be an asset
  • Senior student pursuing an engineering degree or with a strong mechanical background
  • Aptitude for learning new processes and equipment
  • Experience with CMMS an asset
