Based in the New York metro area, Pursuit is an innovative social impact organization whose mission is to create economic transformation and opportunity. Through our long-term intensive program, we train adults with the most need and potential to become software engineers and leaders in the tech industry. On average, Pursuit Fellows go from making $18,000 pre-program to $90,000+ upon starting their first job, resulting in an estimated lifetime earnings increase of over $2,000,000. Fellows are offered opportunities at over 300 best-in-class companies, including Peloton, Blackstone, Uber, and Citi.
Offering Overview:
Pursuit invests in our Fellows by providing them with a range of services: coding and professional skills training, a sourced job opportunity with company partners, career support, mentorship, and access to a network of tech companies and industry professionals. Our intensive two-step, four-year Fellowship focuses on building meaningful careers. It combines one year of training through Pursuit Core, with three years of on-the-job support through Pursuit Commit. In addition to preparing our Fellows for their first job, we work directly with employers to ensure they go from entry-level to mid-level and beyond.
We are One Big Team
The passionate and collaborative team at Pursuit gives its all to achieve our mission. And it's not just staff. We work with employer partners that love hiring our Fellows because they are so well prepared, ranging from big financial firms to scrappy startups, and everything in between. We also activate and engage thousands of volunteers that come from all areas of the tech industry and beyond. At Pursuit, we are committed to breaking traditional barriers, focusing on potential rather than pedigree, and providing hands-on experience to empower participants in ways never seen before.
