Position Overview

The Director, Health Care Practitioner (HCP) Personal Promotion and HCP Relations will be responsible for advancing the HCP personal promotions and HCP relations strategy for Cologuard. This will include leading promotional content strategy, establishing and maintaining product positioning, leading messaging research to improve impact, and ensuring the broader team is apprised of updates to the promotional approach for refinement of the projects for which they are responsible. This role will lead the development of core selling assets for the US sales team supporting Cologuard and collaborate with training teams to deploy and refine necessary field-based personnel skills necessary to utilize them.

Additionally, this role will translate the promotional strategy to national-level CRC screening thought leaders. The Director will be responsible for peer-to-peer programming strategy and execution; including, but not limited to, the identification and training of qualified promotional speakers, the development of peer-to-peer content, congress strategy and execution, and management of the speaker’s bureau.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for ensuring branding, creative, advertising, and messaging align to strategy for Cologuard.
  • Ensure appropriate development of HCP-facing promotional materials are in accordance with legal, regulatory, and medical policies.
  • Develop and execute on-going engagement plan for field-based personnel to pull through marketing initiatives.
  • Act as brand lead for HCP market research to advance messaging and refine strategies.
  • Analyze primary and secondary market research, measure and track performance of field facing tactics through commercial analytics.
  • Extend promotional strategy into a commercial engagement plan for thought leaders and practitioners, mainly from the areas of primary care and gastroenterology, who are shaping the field of colorectal cancer screening and prevention.
  • Develop the executional plans for next generation peer-to-peer programming from content strategy to speaker bureau management.
  • Effectively work with internal cross-functional teams, external partners, including the professional agency of record, and project teams to achieve brand goals.
  • Work closely with sales leadership to ensure field execution with field marketing resources aligns with brand and field strategies necessary to drive Cologuard growth goals.
  • Ability to understand diverse and complex business and technical problems.
  • Ability to develop, motivate and lead teams of cross-functional resources in a matrixed organization with competing priorities.
  • Excellent professional writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize strategies, initiatives, and workload independently and proactively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Adaptable, open to change, and able to work in ambiguous situations and respond to new information and unexpected circumstances.
  • Responsible for strategic alignment and integration with cross functional partners including Medical Affairs, marketing teams, market access, commercial operations, lab operations, corporate affairs, etc.

  • Ability to travel 25% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, marketing or field as outlined in the essential duties.
  • 11+ years of experience in marketing or brand management with professional/clinical customers.
  • 5+ years of experience leading people.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in business administration or field as outlined in the essential duties.
  • Diagnostic/device/pharmaceutical marketing, sales, and/or healthcare marketing experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to present to and influence senior leadership (VP level).

Salary Range:

$174,000.00 - $277,000.00

The annual base salary shown is a national range for this position on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
