What you’ll be doing.

Job Summary:

The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) for Travel Insurance is responsible for all oversite and performance of the Commercial, Client Services and Account Management teams regarding the Travel Insurance (TI) business line of the greater Generali Global Assistance North American group. The CCO manages a diverse group of talented salespeople, Key Account Managers and Senior Commercial team leaders within the travel insurance industry. This person works closely with senior leadership and their team to coordinate the high-level strategy to ensure client growth and retention as well as the overall branding of the Organization. At Generali Global Assistance, we promote and foster a culture of ethics and integrity, that includes accountability for a healthy control environment while supporting regulatory compliance and assuring that our employees complete required training.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build the Trip Mate and CSA brands through various sales strategies / campaigns / partnerships
  • Oversee sales teams to ensure growth and retention initiatives are met and/or surpassed
  • Recruit and sign client partners to increase TI portfolio
  • Oversee client onboarding to ensure positive client experience
  • Manage carrier partner relationships to continue to provide multi carrier solutions for client partners.
  • Provide leadership to a team to include individual growth plans, succession planning and coaching
  • Manage sales budgets to align with fiscal goals while providing company with successful campaigns crucial for Company growth
  • Seek out and provide additional ancillary revenue opportunities including enhancements to offer clients
  • Work closely with internal department leaders and team members to ensure TI Commercial has the necessary resources to succeed
  • Facilitate Account Management and positive stewardship with major accounts as necessary

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in a senior relationship executive role required.
  • Ability to think strategically and provide thought leadership.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading diverse teams
  • Strong analytic skills with demonstrated track record in execution.
  • Skillful negotiator and experience with conflict resolution.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication.
  • Exceptional presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.
  • Knowledge of insurance or financial industry

Education/Certifications:

  • Advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred

Pay Range: $225,000.00 to $275,000.00 

Where you’ll be doing it.

This is a hybrid role based out of our San Diego office. As a hybrid role, you will be working onsite 2-3 days a week and working from home 2-3 days a week.

When you’ll be doing it.

While there is some flexibility in the hours, this position will be Monday-Friday during regular business hours (approximately 8:00am-5:00pm). Occasional overtime may be required according to business need.
