Job Summary:

Tundra Federal is seeking an experienced Training Specialist with expertise in network infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical knowledge and training skills, with an understanding of networking solutions. This pivotal role requires an individual who can create and implement comprehensive training initiatives, customized to align with the evolving requirements of our program and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with conducting a Training Needs Analysis to tailor training initiatives effectively.
  • Collaborate in the development of Training Plans, ensuring alignment with NGG program goals.
  • Assist in the development, and design of Course Overviews, Instructor Guides, Student Guides, and Lab Guides.
  • Develop and deliver engaging and informative training sessions on switches and routers, SD-WAN, and firewalls and other components.
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to audience.
  • Assess and refine training programs based on feedback and technological advancements.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience developing and delivering training materials and in-person, on-site classes.
  • Experience in writing and editing Department of Defense (DoD) Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs).
  • Demonstrated ability in crafting and delivering technical training materials and sessions.
  • Thorough understanding of network infrastructure technologies, including switches and routers, SD-WAN, and firewalls.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated excellence in speaking, reading, and writing in American English using proper grammar and punctuation.
  • Prior experience developing electronic training material (presentation materials, necessary handouts, and other reference files, demonstration videos, transcripts, or audio files, etc.).
  • Experience with technical writing for training purposes.
  • Active Secret Clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Certification in a relevant field, as a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or with DoD’s instructional design and development certifications.
  • 2+ years of experience developing and delivering Type-1 and Type-2 training in a DoD environment.
