Purpose of Role

The Sr. Manager, Supply Chain Operations will manage overall end-to-end UA Supply Chain Operations and supervise the Account Services Professionals responsible for servicing Mexico. This Manager must exhibit outstanding customer service and liaise cross-functionally within the Americas & Global Supply Chain organizations concerning all supply chain operations matters and will be a prerequisite to be successful. Maintaining strong communication and team management skills as well as utilizing supply chain knowledge will be a pre-requisite to success. 

Establish and preserve strong cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders across the matrix (Global/Reginal/Local). Manage, Motivate, Lead and Support the Department; Supply Chain & Account Service Team to enhance and exceed service expectations; SLA’s and KPI’s by responding to internal and external inquiries and in driving GTM fulfillment strategies by performing the following duties and responsibilities. 

Key metrics: Customer Satisfaction, Service, Inventory at Hubs, Dwell Time, Supply Chain Cost as a % of Net Revenue, CPU, Claims & Returns, shipping targets accuracy, Initiatives Implementation and Process Improvement etc.

Your Impact

  • Strategic & Supply Chain Management 
  • Responsible for the correct Order Management Process within the fulfillment process maximizing potential revenue opportunities and leveraging logistic infrastructure within total delivered cost.
  • Facilitate SOP Process development to drive standardization and discipline within the Supply Chain and Service organization.
  • Responsible for the Inbound flow of goods through the UA supply chain team to Customers. 
  • Responsible for setting Shipping targets between the Supply Chain, Commercial/Finance and Markets.
  • Responsible for the Sales Operations OTC process (Order Book; IRF, URD, Shipping targets) 
  • Jointly with the America’s and Global Supply Chain Management teams to develop, implement, and execute supply chain & service strategies in line with Regional/local Initiatives.
  • Maximize Mexico's net revenues and profitability through optimizing the fulfillment process.
  • Develop and maintain a customer and consumer-focused organization (Customer Service, Distribution, Inbound, Outbound, Inventory management, 3PL, Carriers) by applying strong people management skills and business understanding. 
  • Regularly participate in the country management meetings and build strong working relationships with all functional leads.
  • Be actively involved in executing a robust Sales and Operation Planning process (S&OP) that creates a consensus-based forecasting process with cross functional partners, both globally and regionally, and exposes variances to the plans early in the season to anticipate potential issues. 
  • Own, drive and execute specific Global/Regional/Local supply chain initiatives/projects.
  • Account Relationship 
  • Develop a good understanding of the Mexico business and supply chain capabilities/ opportunities within UA and Customers. Inclusive of holding and leading yearly Top 2 Top meetings.
  • Understand and relate to Customers and their needs by building a healthy relationship. Focus on the maintenance and improvement of service levels and end-to-end processes.
  • Define process improvement initiatives and projects to support the Global Operations mission to “make Supply Chain a competitive advantage”.
  • Establish scalable best practices to improve partnership, UA cost and flow of product through both supply chains. Including a thorough understanding of in-country nuances and exceptions.

  • Develop and advance Teammates by creating both team and individualized goals and evaluating their progress and performance.
  • Recognize areas in need of operational improvement. Suggest ideas for the development of new procedures and changes in existing processes to increase productivity.
  • Inventory / Logistics Management
  • Liaise with Regional function leads to manage the following. 
  • Through the S&OP process, review, and action any capacity/supply challenges impacting regional supply and deliveries. Provide timely information and recommendations on flow, assortments, inventory levels and potential opportunities/ risks.
  • Continuously seek for opportunities to improve Inventory turns (product life-cycle management, flows to factories, minimizing early inventories…) impacting positively the Region and Local P&L; maximizing revenue opportunities while minimizing risks and costs (warehousing capacity, transportation issues, financial implications, etc.)
  • Lead the Supplier services and deliverables to 3PL.
  • Set the standards and control for return logistics and support quality control processes.
  • Monitor and optimize the communication of the delivery information and dates.
  • Ensure Ecommerce Speed & Service. 
  • Monitor & evaluate performance, contracts, and Service Level Agreements of all service providers. 
  • Communication 
  • This role is extremely cross-functional, they (and their team) will work with supply chain, IT, in-country commercial teams, sourcing, trade compliance, logistics, accounting/tax etc. 
  • They will also be required to build strong strategic relationship with Wholesale Customers. Internal and external communication is required.
  • Proactively communicate by means of meetings, reports, project participation etc. all aspects of business or operations which affect Department, Country, Region or Global Teams.
  • Problem Solving and be able to make decisions that reflect good judgment, use creative problem-solving methods to analyze problems, generate options and decide on a course of action that moves the organization toward its goals.

Qualifications

  • University Degree 
  • 5-7 years of leadership experience in Supply Chain Logistics & Customer Service
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems, experience in implementations of ERP, SAP is an advantage and track record in changing environment 
  • Strong command of written and spoken English and local language.

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Mexico office.
  • Return to Work Designation: 3-4 days week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.
