Overview

The Newark, NJ office is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team. As a paralegal, you will be responsible for providing support to attorneys in all phases of the litigation process. You will work closely with our legal team to ensure that all legal matters are handled efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

Job Specifications/Requirements: 

  • The candidate will have three plus (3+) years of litigation support experience as a Paralegal at a law firm or in-house legal
  • department;
  • Must know New Jersey and New York discovery litigation processes;
  • Exceptional organization skills and ability to stay organized and multi-task in a fast-paced environment while
  • producing a high-quality work product;
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, E-Filing (both NJ State and federal) and confidence learning and working with other applications and tools;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to regularly communicate
  • with clients, experts, and others in an effective and courteous manner;
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent proofreading skills;
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion, ability to work independently and complete tasks without
  • extensive supervision;
  • Experience with auto and trucking litigation, setting up IME, tracking records, preparing procedural motions;
  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Should have knowledge of various electronic document formats, redaction, Bates stamping, etc.;
  • Extensive document management, including gathering, indexing, analyzing and producing documents and data
  • in various electronic and hard-copy formats;
  • Docket trials, meetings and deadlines;
  • Provide reminders to team of mediations, depositions;
  • Preparation of notebooks for trials, mediations and depositions

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and Paralegal Certification
