Our Fisher HealthCare business serves the Lab diagnostics industry through its strong brands and commercial footprints over multiple years. We are at the forefront to grow our business and presence across the care continuum and the diagnostics space hence seeking well well-rounded leader who can drive the market development effort strategically.

The Operations Program Manager will be part of Thermo Fisher HealthCare Markets marketing & Portfolio team is responsible for leading all aspects of large projects and programs beginning with the initial Business request through Closure. This role will be expected to lead medium to large commercial projects that involve dependencies on multiple Marketing, Portfolio, Business Teams as well as cross-functional coordination. This individual is one of the key partners responsible for ensuring that projects are implemented in accordance with Thermo Fisher Scientific’s PMF process.

The successful candidate will also lead, coordinate and complete assigned projects and to this end will perform a variety of tasks including setting project landmarks, assigning responsibilities, tracking resource loading and monitoring and summarizing progress of the projects including investments.

The key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Defines, maintains, and implements project management methodology, including processes, tools, metrics and polices to ensure efficiency, quality and business success
  • Build the organization to provide PM services, is accountable for making certain projects are delivered on time, meeting commercial steady state criteria.
  • Lead the organization with a customer-first demeanor and effective communication.
  • Design and implement the operating cadence, including running coordination meetings, project updates, and overall oversight of projects.
  • Articulate and build consensus on project goals with HMD Marketing & Portfolio leadership to ensure on-time and within budget expectations.
  • Work with management to provide project team direction and vision including focus and prioritization, motivating people to perform, listening, and recognizing strengths to best use available resources
  • Drives cross-functional planning and effective execution through the development and monitoring of fully integrated, project-specific timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure projects are staffed with the right personnel with vital skills, experience, knowledge, and abilities.
  • Forge tight partnerships with cross-functional leaders and complete activities in a productive and collaborative setting
  • Define and analyze metrics that form the foundation of premier execution and ensure the success of project delivery.
  • Implement processes to pro-actively identify and resolve risks and dependencies that would prevent successful program execution.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science or related field, or equivalent work experience and technical training

Experience:

  • 8+ years of project management skills, including defining, organizing, planning, and implementing significant/complex commercial marketing and business projects from vision through implementation. Proven experience in program management, partner management, leading managers
  • 8+ years of work experience in project management delivering business solutions using information technology
  • Background in commercial marketing and business. Strong problem-solving skills and business acumen.
  • Agile project management, CMMI and project management experience using multiple methodologies
