Overview

This role will be responsible to develop and execute local brand plans and tactical plans in the Nordics with focus on driving the overall management of selected Alnylam products.

Acting as field-based expert, this person is the primary customer facing Alnylam person responsible for the sales performance in Sweden (Nordics).

The role will be the primary interface with the regional Product Leads based in Europe and has important matrix interactions. This person will ensure excellent alignment and communications from Nordics to the European team and help ensure that the regional team has the necessary insights regarding local country dynamics.

The role reports to the Country Manager Nordics. The position is office based / hybrid and based in Sweden.

Key Responsibilities

  • Takes the lead in building the local strategic marketing and brand plans and tactical plans
  • Manages the implementation of local tactical plans (e.g. local marketing material, congresses, educational events, promotional events, customer outreach etc.)
  • Develops account plans in line with country strategy in partnership with Country Manager and Medical Affairs team.
  • Performs detailed analysis of the assigned territory to identify, assess, and develop relevant centers for diagnosis and treatment.
  • Builds sustainable relationships with healthcare stakeholders and functions as the main partner for key customers in the Nordics.
  • Represents Alnylam at local and national events and congresses.
  • Takes responsibility to coordinate local sales training activities.
  • Ensures detailed tracking of agreed KPIs to allow early course correction and ensure execution of key tactics
  • Provides high quality input to local market access activities.
  • Ensures high quality revenue and volume forecasting and brand investment deployment.
  • Contributes to the development of the European strategic plan and annual tactical plans.
  • Develops and implements innovative, multichannel marketing strategies and tactics, including the planning and tracking of commercial investment.
  • In close collaboration with the regional product teams, ensure deep local market and stakeholder insights to inform local tailoring of the strategy and tactics and to help inform the global/regional strategy.
  • Supports customer qualification process.
  • Conducts all activities to highest ethical standards in accordance with country code of practice and local Laws and regulations

Qualifications

  • Track record of success in brand management, Product management, strategic marketing roles of minimum 5 years.
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical Sales, specifically key account management.
  • Experience with hospital marketing management and orphan drugs.
  • Strong knowledge of specialty care commercialization in Nordics, particularly in the rare disease space.
  • Line leadership experience is a plus.
  • Education (Minimum) requirements: Life Science degree; Business degree a plus.
  • Language (Minimum) requirements: Fluency in Swedish and English, ideally also other regional languages.
  • Strong network/matrix stakeholder communications skills with both regional and in-country teams.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Relentless external customer and patient focus.
  • Ability to travel within a territory on a regular basis.
  • Autonomous working style, pragmatic and operationally oriented, excellent planning and organizing skills
