PURPOSE

The Global Sales Development team develops best-in-class and future oriented tools, processes, policies and guidance to enable the markets to achieve operational excellence and commercial success. As part of the global trade investment team you will support the Global and Market sales organizations in achieving profitable market share growth by creating, aligning and deploying optimisation solutions to improve the return on investment (ROI) of our Wholesale and Franchise channel trade investments 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive the optimisation of the trade investment strategy and frameworks across all channels and categories within the Wholesale and Franchise business
  • Provide support, guidance and solutions for the markets in cost effective inventory management
  • Create, implement and maintain a new global centre of excellence for trade investment, connecting all key trade investment stakeholders to ‘lift and shift’ winning investment strategies
  • Lead as a Global WHS expert and first contact for markets for trade investment opportunities within our Wholesale and Franchise businesses
  • Ensure the implementation of managed tools and related initiatives in order to achieve defined objectives and consult markets on business processes & compliance
  • Run commercial assessments of markets and create gameplans for the roll-out of managed tools and processes
  • Manage x-functional Global Sales projects with the focus on developing the go-to-market process and service approach enabling the markets to achieve operational excellence and commercial success
  • Ensure creation & distribution of comms and training material for managed tools to markets
  • Implement a high standard and agile approach to project management and effective communication methodology
  • Build trustworthy relationships and an effective and collaborative network across channels and departments

KNOWLEDGE, CAPABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE

  • Sales experience in international SGI, FMCG, Consumer Electronics and/ or Management Consultancy
  • Experience working on Net Revenue Management / Net Rev Max
  • Operational Wholesale Market experience (e.g. Sales/ Trade Marketing) is a plus
  • High degree of commercial knowledge and business acumen
  • Strong understanding of Wholesale processes, KPIs and ability to influence others
  • Strong interpersonal skills (e.g. communication, facilitation, negotiation)
  • Demonstrable analytical, planning and organizational skills (e.g. project management and strategic development)
  • Ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity
  • Creative, open-minded and agile team player
  • Mental flexibility, initiative and determination
  • Fluent in written and spoken English. Skills and abilities in another language are a benefit

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • University degree in business, ideally with Sales/Marketing or Retail focus
  • 5+ years’ experience in the sporting goods, FMCG, Consumer Electronics or Management Consultancy
  • Cross-functional experience ideally with Marketing/ Finance/ Global Operations/ SCM
  • Experience within different countries and/or different cultures
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in Project Management or Account Management
