Description

Provide Financial Accounting services to various Managed Investment fund and Property fund clients in a timely and efficient manner. Oversee and review of junior team members and provide mentoring. 

Job Responsibilities: 

The role duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following: 

  • Management of key client accounts and relationships 
  • Maintenance of the general ledger for Managed Investment funds / Property funds and reconcile back to the source of truth on a timely basis. 
  • Prepare month end accounting reports – trial balance, profit/loss, balance sheet and client specific reports as required by clients. 
  • Calculation of periodic taxable income distributions for Managed Investment funds / Property funds. 
  • Preparation of BAS returns and assist with tax returns. 
  • Create annual and semi-annual financial statements for Managed Inv. / Property funds. 
  • Review the work performed by fund accountants. 
  • Provide mentoring and support to junior team members 
  • Work with audits and clients to ensure all requirements and requests are answer in a timely manner 
  • Ad hoc project work including improvement of processes and procedures. 
  • Oversight of the work being prepared in offshore locations 

Proven Experience & Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a fund accounting role 
  • CPA / CA qualifications 
  • Experience in oversight and review of accountants 
  • Intermediate to Advanced excel skills 
  • Experience in using administration systems like Hiport or Paxus
