Job Description and Duties

This position requires the incumbent to apply and interpret bargaining unit contract language, laws, and rules from available reference manuals and other related revisions issued by the State Personnel Board (SPB), the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR), State Controller's Office (SCO), California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS), and the DHCS.

The incumbent must be able to work independently, multi-task and work with various cut off dates throughout the pay period in order to maintain an active roster of employees. This position requires the incumbent to have and maintain good rapport, consistent and regular attendance, and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in dealing with the internal and external customers and stakeholders.

Working Conditions

Additional Information

In addition to the regular salary, this classification is eligible for an annual recruitment and retention bonus as follows:

  • $2,400 after 12 or more qualifying months
  • $3,000 after 24 or more qualifying months
  • $3,600 after 36 or more qualifying months
  • $4,800 after 48 or more qualifying months

Please note that recruitment and retention bonus occurs every 12 months!
