Our Team

NA CHC Medical Affairs acts as a strategic catalyst to the CHC business to ensure the development and support of innovative consumer-relevant healthcare solutions; solutions based on actionable medical insights and utilization of credible scientific evidence. Through scientific engagement this department helps shape medical knowledge and clinical practice to provide better health outcomes and helps Sanofi achieve its mission of Empowering Life.

Position Overview

Take responsibility for the medical and scientific stewardship of our allergy brands including Allegra, Xyzal and Nasacort portfolio which includes pharmacologic and related non-pharmacological products. The main responsibilities include scientific innovation based on credible scientific evidence and actionable medical insights; effective collaboration internally and externally to evolve scientific engagement and improved consumer health outcomes; translation of global medical strategies into local medical plans for Allegra; and the promotion of development and implementation of self-care solutions to improve consumer health outcomes. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Scientific innovation and development of differentiated promotional claims based on credible evidence and actionable medical insights that are aligned with the Brand purpose
  • Effective collaboration internally and externally to evolve scientific engagement with key internal and external experts, health authorities and shapers of health care systems
  • Enhance effective self-care and improved consumer health outcomes by promoting and developing creative, evidence-based, consumer-oriented solutions for brands
  • Provide strategic medical stewardship for the allergy therapeutic area product portfolio to ensure differentiated product positioning, innovative life cycle management and development of implementable, empowering self-care solutions
  • Strong collaboration and partnership with a cross functional team to ensure end to end medical leadership for our Brands from ideation through to launch and support of base products
  • Strong partnership with the global medical team to ensure delivery of global brand in US
  • Develop capabilities to enable delivery of quality medical and strategic stewardship and ensure simplification
  • Provide strategic medical and scientific insights from the therapeutic area to support CHC R&D efforts
  • Collaboratively present and align US clinical/scientific strategies and priorities with global and commercial CHC organizations and deliver on local medical commitments.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • M.D., PharmD, N.P., P.A. or equivalent health care related postgraduate degree
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of clinical drug development, pharmacovigilance, risk benefit assessment, US/Canada regulatory framework for pharmacological products and promotional product claims
  • 10+ years of experience in consumer health care or pharmaceutical industry conducting medical stewardship of pharmacological product

Preferred Qualifications

  • Board eligibility/certification in Internal Medicine or Allergy/Immunology is desirable
  • Prior clinical drug development research experience
  • High proficiency in public speaking and written communication
  • Effective collaborator (cross functionally, horizontally, vertically) with a strategic and future-forward attitude
