Purpose of Position
Development of college students who are pursuing an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in automation, controls or other related technology field. Intern will be exposed to a variety of projects and activities that will provide an opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned in college and demonstrate abilities in the workplace. The position is a temporary, non-exempt position.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)
Under the direction of the director:
Fully participate in the Northern Natural Gas Safety Program.
College student, sophomore, junior or senior standing, currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree program in automation, controls or other related technology field.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Offices, especially Work, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
