Job Summary
The Strategic Sourcing Manager is key in advancing UCSF’s strategic goals through the development and implementation of comprehensive strategic sourcing strategies. This role involves a high degree of interaction with campus departmental leaders, fostering effective relationships and enhancing the university’s procurement practices.
The Sourcing Manager develops, maintains, and oversees UCSF Campus’s Category Portfolio Strategy with overall responsibility for spend analyses, bid processes, contract awards, supplier performance, and customer satisfaction metrics. Additionally, this role is responsible for working with other University of California campuses and the UC Office of the President to ensure the effective implementation and maximal use of systemwide sourcing contracts across UCSF Campus.
The Sourcing Manager plays a key manageral role, supervising a team of sourcing analysts, promoting a work environment that encourages collaboration, efficiency, and continuous process improvement. Exceptional leadership and communication skills are crucial for this role.
