Overview

SUMMARY (Basic purpose of the job): Under direction, assists with the development, implementation and monitoring of programs for the Department of Volunteer Services. Provides administrative and program support to the Manager Volunteer Services, volunteers/interns. Maintains files, distributes mail etc. Uses discretion and judgment when screening visitors and telephone calls. Organizes workload to meet established priorities. Does data entry and typing in the volunteer database and a personal computer.

Qualifications

Associate’ s Degree in Business Administration, Social Science or a related discipline, plus one (1) year of related experience in a business office, government agency or university setting required. Computer skills and experience with office software required. Must have excellent customer service skills, along with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize. Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.
