JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Summary:

The Financial Controller for our Nutrition Business will oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, implementing internal controls, and providing strategic financial guidance to optimize business performance. The Financial Controller will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support decision-making and drive operational efficiency within the organization.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide accurate and timely information to management and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning purposes.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions as needed.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
  • Lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making on pricing, product development, and business expansion initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and efficiency gains in financial operations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial management to inform business strategy and decision-making.
  • Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.

Knowledge, Experience, and Skills Required:

  • Master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; CA or ACCA designation preferred.
  • Proven experience (10 - 12 years) in a financial management role, preferably in the consumer goods or nutrition industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply complex accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience in mentoring and developing finance team members.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
