Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk (CCOR) plays a critical role in the successful execution of the firm's Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk mission. The CCOR function ensures the development and maintenance of a strong controls culture, by developing and maintaining a program infrastructure that identifies, measures, and monitors Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk adherence. CCOR works closely with Business, Controls, Legal, Risk, Compliance and Audit functions to provide expertise on risk matters, assess and measure related risks, and monitor and test the adequacy of the firm's control environment.

The team is seeking a high performing Associate position based out of our Bengaluru office in JPMorgan Towers. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a broad range of business analyst and project management activities, look for automation opportunities to constantly improve the way the function operates and additionally support multiple assigned initiatives. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to key Compliance and Ops Risk programs, Analytics and automation initiatives being implemented across CCOR and will require partnership with representatives from across the organization including Business, Finance, Digitalization, Operations and Technology groups. You will also perform a variety of functions to support compliance with internal policies, procedures and external regulations including:

  • Work in partnership with CCOR Management team, Technology team and other key stakeholders to help create new solutions, optimize existing functional / technology platforms and identify new solutions to support solutions for strategic initiatives
  • Ability to conduct gap analysis and present to Senior stakeholders
  • Develop requirements including user stories, acceptance criteria, flow charts, functional diagrams and descriptions to communicate specifications for requirements liaising with various stakeholders across the CCOR organization
  • Perform a Business Analyst role to cover functional and non-functional requirements
  • Conduct various gap analysis and present to senior stakeholders
  • Track and document new changes requested including helping in facilitate a change management process including reviewing requests, visualizing potential remediation steps as well as communicating such items to key stakeholders
  • Leverage project management skills to ensure the key project milestones and targets are achieved in a timely manner to include strong coordination skills with a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Support senior management with ad-hoc projects or requests when needed
  • Ensure all stakeholders are aware and appraised of key developments; maintain living, evolving, documentation to ensure there is clarity of both the current status and next steps. Provide continuous feedback on plan status; ensure information is shared and issues addressed
  • Organize complex information in a strategic and compelling way, demonstrating strong design acumen and expertise in Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint techniques
  • Assist with the overall project management activities. Manage ownership of key messaging to stakeholders and senior management across the organization, via key Steering Committees and PCC’s

Minimum Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum Master’s degree; 10+ years work experience in the Banking / Financial industry, preferably in Risk, Compliance, Oversight & Controls, or Finance;
  • Have a proven track record of Project, Delivery management and Business analyst activities;
  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to harness large data sets and analyses to deliver insights and new features for senior management reviews with strong PowerPoint/ PitchPro skills and reporting tools (SharePoint, JIRA, other internal tools) 
  • Exposure to Intelligent Automation tools, e.g. Pega, Alteryx, Python etc..Data Analytics and Reporting solutions and its practical application in the business
  • Possesses excellent communication and engagement skills
  • Manages multiple project deliverables to ensure timely delivery
  • Team player with excellent organizational and project management skills; able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships. 
  • Intellectual curiosity with a proven ability to learn quickly
  • Highly disciplined, self-motivated, and delivery-focused with ability to work independently
  • Ability to develop partnerships across multiple business and functional areas
  • Proven ability to gather/analyze complex data and develop accurate conclusions with sufficient comprehension of the business to understand risk implications
  • Ability to positively influence change and maintain a positive change management environment
  • Has team & performance management experience

Additional Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Business Analyst certification, e.g. CBAP, CBA etc..
  • Project Management certification, e.g. PMP, Prince2 etc..
