About the position

As the Senior Tax Accountant (US), you will join our growing global finance team. You will be working closely with other tax and finance team members. You will manage day-to-day compliance work, and drive the company's US tax-related workstreams.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Review monthly sales and use tax and reconciling the differences between the NS and Avalara system 
  • Review and confirm exemption certificates are current and valid
  • Experience in back-filing sales and use tax
  • Experience in US indirect tax and income tax provision and compliance
  • Manager and facilitate directly with local tax authorities on indirect tax and income tax related notices
  • Addressing internal/external client inquiries
  • Develop and implement opportunities for process standardization and improvement in US tax procedures
  • Maintain up-to-date tax calendar for various filings, compliance matters and other tax related workstreams
  • Tax research related to complex tax situations and/or changes in tax law

What you will bring to our team: 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Big 4 or nationally recognized firm experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of previous relevant tax compliance experience. 
  • Highly organized with the ability to maintain a large volume of information.
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and project management skills.
  • A strong communicator with strong analytical and research skills.
