ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates computer programs for Operations/Production functions.

Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding, and tests/debugs programs.

May provide work leadership and direction for other members of the systems and programming staffs, with emphasis on detailed analysis and programming issues.

Develops conversion and system implementation plans.

Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation.

Recommends changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.

Trains user personnel in conversion and implementation of system.

Performs other related duties as required.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to nonexempt personnel.

JOB COMPLEXITY

Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. 

Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. 

Principal work of unit is application development and maintenance for varied complex types of applications systems.

NATURE OF WORK:

Provide accurate and timely response to Operations requirements for CNC program data. Support the overall Aftermarket

Services (AMS) business for growth and profit margin objectives.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Work in conjunction with Manufacturing/Operations to resolve production engineering queries and issues as and

when required.

  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Have a good understanding of the following manufacturing processes:

o Router 5-axis Machine

o Horizontal and Vertical CNC Milling Machine

  • Provide timely and accurate Technical support to the shop floor.
  • Identify, co-ordinate and implement process improvement activities.
  • Effectively apply health and safety.
  • Maintain good housekeeping.
  • Working within a team to achieve departmental and business objectives.

  • Manufacturing / Operations

  • Quality Assurance

  • Requires thorough job specific proficiency and working knowledge of standard practices, procedures and protocols
  • Interprets and applies data analysis, procedures and policies
  • Analyzes moderately to highly complex issues and develops solutions consistent with established procedures,

practices, and standards

  • Independently resolves complex issues and problems
  • Responsible for complex projects
  • Performs tasks and supports projects under limited supervision

MINIMUM REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

. Engineering Qualification/Apprenticeship in a technically related subject.

  • Basic Experience in CNC Milling machine operation.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office packages including MS Word and Excel.
  • Have a working knowledge of Engineering Drawings.
  • Understanding and ability to read technical drawings.
  • Experience of manufacturing methods and materials usage.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Enthusiasm to learn and develop new skills.
