Formed in May 2007, the Institute for Genome Sciences (IGS) is part of the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM) and is located on the University of Maryland Baltimore (UMB) Campus.
The Institute is led by Jacques Ravel, Ph.D., and a team of faculty investigators. Members of the IGS team have helped to revolutionize genomic discoveries in medicine, agriculture, environmental science, and biodefense. By applying genomic tools to clinical research, these investigators are creating new dynamics for understanding individual differences in our susceptibility to disease, for understanding the role of our body’s microorganisms in health and disease, and for exploring new personalized therapeutics.
The Institute is currently recruiting for a part-time (.50% FTE) Graphic Designer position.

Primary Duties:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Graphic Arts, Visual Arts, or related field.
Experience: Three (3) years' experience in graphic design or visual design.
Other: Related experience may be substituted for education.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Hiring Range Pro-Rated (@ .50% FTE): $32,000 - $35,000 (Commensurate with education and experience)
