The Vice President, Information Technology will serve as the CIO for the Plumbing & Refrigeration Group. This person will develop and execute best-in-class strategies for ERP Applications and Infrastructure systems for a fast-growing Plumbing & Refrigeration business with over 11 companies and 2,800 employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Quickly assess current IT organization and design an IT organization that supports the business’s growth and technology simplification strategy.
  • Primary responsibility for creating a sustainable competitive advantage for the Plumbing & Refrigeration business by effectively planning and managing all group-wide information systems activities, including application development, infrastructure, cyber security, acquisition, and eCommerce activities.
  • Drive IT simplification across 11 businesses and rationalize multiple ERP environments.
  • Optimize software and hardware solutions to reduce variability across the businesses in the group.
  • Manage and champion Cybersecurity and align strategies with corporate policies.
  • Develop and implement a group wide ERP conversion, transitioning from legacy systems to a packaged ERP solution with minimal business disruption. Plan and execute against a detailed project plan that incorporates milestones, timetables, financial investment and systems metrics.
  • Ensure the appropriate modules are selected and build out the business and program plan for the overall implementation.
  • Provide the roadmap to how customers, agents, regions, etc. relate will be critical to the overall success of the ERP implementation.
  • Identify process improvements and apply best in class methodologies to drive discipline in IT.
  • Work closely with business leaders to understand opportunities for IT to enable business operations, maximize revenue streams and improve profitability.
  • Create a new hierarchy of data and determine how this impacts the business moving forward.
  • Build effective relationships across the business and oversee the preparation of business cases to support proposed IT initiatives.
  • Be a hands-on IT leader to ensure activities and projects are managed effectively, accurately and completed on-time.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong technical foundation to include a bachelor’s degree, ideally in computer science
  • MBA and/or advanced technical degree, and/or PMP certifications are highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 plus years of IT management experience
  • Prior experience leading a significant technology group in a large corporation.
  • Proven track record in developing the IT strategy and roadmap linked to business objectives.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading a major ERP conversion in a multi-location manufacturing environment is required.
  • Prior exposure to project planning, execution, and organization change-management efforts to successfully complete a complex ERP conversion is critical.
  • Significant project management experience highlighting an ability to plan and execute multiple complex IT projects against project plans, budgets and timelines.

Business Experience

  • The successful candidate must have led IT in a company that has experienced significant times of change to position the company for success in the long term.
  • Prior experience in a transformational environment is highly preferred.
  • Previous technical experience in a highly decentralized and disparate technology environment is a plus.
  • Prior experience implementing a shared services platform is preferred.
  • A demonstrated passion, energy and drive to understand requirements in a complex supply chain and manufacturing environment will be important.

  • The successful candidate must communicate a clear set of objectives, delegate effectively and drive accountability to fit within the group’s culture Results oriented, combined with strong influencing skills will be required to drive results and integrate effectively into the culture.
  • A track record of managing to a plan, setting high standards of performance and a “roll up the sleeves” attitude to tenaciously achieve goals will be expected.
  • Build good relationships with the business, peers, and team across a diverse group of people is important.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are imperative for success.
