Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Craft compelling feature stories and engaging onboard content for our brand-new company intranet.
  • Lead the charge in exploring innovative techniques to boost employee engagement across digital platforms.
  • Conduct interviews with employees and key stakeholders to gather insights and stories.
  • Develop captivating content for social media platforms and our careers website.
  • Gain valuable experience by shadowing our communications team, learning the ins and outs of developing strategic communication plans.
  • Assist in executing internal communications and employer brand campaigns that resonate with business objectives and cultural values.
  • Simplify complex ideas into accessible language that resonates with all audiences.
  • Support in rolling out and encouraging the adoption of new collaboration and communication tools.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance internal communication channels and methods.
  • Contribute to fostering an environment of innovation and creativity within the team.

Work Environment:

Environments vary by intership function from office to field to plant. Our aim is to provide tangible industry job experience to each intern. While we may extend offers to some interns, there is no guarantee of a job offer at the end of the internship.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Two (2) years of post high school education completed

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program or higher in Communications, English, Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Psychology, or a related field.
  • A strategic and creative thinker with a knack for problem-solving, capable of generating innovative ideas and seeing them through to completion.
  • Possesses exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Able to swiftly understand and distill complex concepts into clear and concise messaging.
  • Enthusiastic, optimistic, and self-motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative team setting.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite, Adobe, and/or Canva tools is preferred.
