Environmental Practice Leader - Risk Management

Key Responsibilities: Subject matter expert and resource to clients for Environmental insurance in collaboration with Cross Insurance’s Risk Management team of specialists.

Expectations:

  • Drive client solutions as the Environmental practice leader in the Risk Management Team.
  • Deliver expert broking & strategy solutions to help manage risk for our clients.
  • Develop an understanding of the clients' business strategic priorities, risk strategies and risk management needs to help provide value-add knowledge and advice.
  • Help identify the need for new products and develops innovative solutions for clients.
  • Complete policy management activities and delivery of reviewed policy to client and help address client inquiries as necessary.
  • Independently manage assigned accounts and work closely with the entire service team to formulate the appropriate renewal marketing strategy.
  • Present to prospective clients, identifies the need for new products, develops/suggests innovative solutions to client and client team members to gain new clients and projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues to ensure that complex risk management needs are appropriately met.
  • Manage client deliverables, delivery of the final placement documents, and ensure the quality of materials delivered to clients.
  • Ability to effectively engage with colleagues, and demonstrate expertise in problem solving, areas of coverage and client relationships.
  • Serve as a thought leader within the Company and maintains an in-depth knowledge of changing risk and insurance market conditions.
  • Develop and maintain carrier relationships with key underwriting and carrier executives.
  • Act as Account Executive on select group of Risk Management accounts as needed.
  • Develop pipeline of prospective clients as opportunities arise.

Background & Experience:

  • Environmental risk experience
  • Insurance industry experience
  • Broker/Agency, Carrier, or Risk Manager preferred
  • College education (4-year bachelor’s degree at a minimum)
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills are necessary
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
