Job Description

In the Budapest Artificial Intelligence Development Center of Continental, Autonomous Mobility, we create next generation automotive software solutions which make automated driving safe and affordable. We work towards Vision Zero, a goal to eliminate fatal accidents happening every day on the world’s roads. We are looking for creative minds who are passionate to shape the future of automated driving by delivering world-class perception and fusion systems. Our teams develop software solutions for automated parking systems, processing various automotive sensor data and providing a robust, scalable output to driving function modules.

In the Visualization Team we develop a camera-based surround view system as a driver assistance system. Four fisheye cameras provide video streams which are stitched together and reprojected to simulate a 3D environment.

The created environment is used to support parking manouvers and slow speed visualisations in real time. The Software Integration Engineer is end to end responsible for the L1 to L3 validation testing from definition through production release validation.

Your Tasks:

  • Develop a strategy for integrating software consistent with the project plan and release plan.
  • Identify software components based on the software architectural design and define a sequence for integrating them.
  • Acting as a CI delegate for the project, provide necessary information to developers, training of the developers on usage of the DevGate.
  • Coordination of automated tests for the project.
  • Collaborate to develop a strategy for testing the integrated software following the integration strategy.
  • Develop the test specification of software integration test cases according to the software integration test strategy for each integrated software component.
  • Correct dataflow between software components.
  • Integration of software components according to the project release plan.
  • Providing of checkpoints for the project on a regular base.
  • Selection of test cases and performing test runs for the integrated software.
  • Execution of test cases according to the test plan.
  • Debugging and primary error analysis for assigning the error to a specific PO
  • Review and communication of the test results.

Qualifications

  • Academic degree in electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent qualification.
  • Several years of experience as a software integrator or platform integrator in the field of automotive embedded systems.
  • Very good knowledge of lauterbach debugging, CANoe, CAPL or C#, vTestStudio and VTSystem.
  • Good knowledge of the automotive software development (C++) and test process e.g. ASPICE, ISO26262, Classic/Adaptive Autosar and Continuous Integration.
  • Good knowledge about the continuous integration and build tools (JIRA/Git/Github/Jenkins/Compiler).
  • Technical knowledge of driver assistance function and sensors.
  • Experience as ISTQB® certified tester – foundation level, ideally ISTQB® certified tester – test automation engineer.
